St. Ignatius Church

We are very lucky to have two faith communities that are dear to us in Portland. Attending former pastor Peter Byrne's Contemplitive masses brought John back into the church , and remains a special place to both of us. We have enjoyed masses and community events there since we started dating. Now we usually attend the Downtown Chapel together, where Sally used to work, and where we volunteer together. To incorporate both of our parish homes, we have asked Fr. Bob Loughery and Fr. Ron Raab from the Downtown Chapel to marry us at St. Ignatius. 


Reception Location:
World Forestry Center

Our reception will be at the beautiful Miller Hall at The World Forestry Center. Bring your dancing shoes as you're gonna need them!

Parking will be tight for the reception at the Forestry Center, since the zoo shares the parking lot and is having a concert the same night.  We are encouraging guests with cars to follow signs to the zoo's satellite parking sites and use their shuttle, or to drive to the Sunset Transit Center and use the MAX, our city's light rail, to come back one stop to get to our reception. We'll have maps available for these routes after the ceremony.


We are considering securing a shuttle- if there is interest- that would take guests from one of the hotels, to the wedding, and then to the reception. Guests would easily be able to MAX back to their rooms if they chose one of the hotels near the MAX line. If this interests you, please email us at:
